Just For Laughs

Zac made a new neighborhood friend. He was out mowing the lawn the other day when a red-headed kid ditched his bike in the yard and promptly asked him if he could start the mower. Zac chatted with him for a minute, hoping that would satisfy his need to bug the new neighbor. Well, he was hooked. He wasn't leaving until he got to start that mower...10 times. And then the "weed peter"...10 times.

"That's a cool weed peter. Can I start that too? Can I start it again? Can I start it again? Can I start it again?"

Zac was patient with him and just figured he didn't have much of a father-figure at home. At some point I came outside to see what was going on and the little guy asked,
"Who's that?"
 "My wife"
 "Why?"
"Because I like her." Lol. I guess it's as simple as that.

Well, the next day Zac and I were eating dinner when out of the corner of his eye, Zac noticed a blue bike in our yard. Then, he noticed the red-headed kid was also outside....with our "weed peter"!!! He had gotten in our garage, grabbed our weed eater and was trying to start it up. Yikes!

We've tried to find the parents, but after asking around the neighborhood we figured out his parents aren't home much and once he starts visiting you, he does indeed tend to make himself at home.  One neighbor said one day he found him in his shed trying to pull his lawn mower out to start it. I guess we'll have to make sure our garage is shut from now on.

(Thanks for the title, Kay!)
